Things that make you go huh? . . .

I drive by a church once a week that has a street pulpit (church sign) out front.

This week the sign says: We don't believe in the same God you don't believe in.

huh?

Hm... what sort of church? Perhaps their god has special powers. Oh, special powers are inherent in gods? Then, I dunno. Weird.

My advice? Keep driving. For the love of all that is holy, keep driving. Don't be lured in by their profound advertising! Your interest in their sign is only giving them the power they are seeking.

Better yet, walk into that "church" office and say, "is this where we drop off the pennies for pagans?" and see what their response is ...

If it is a "real" church, they will know about pagans.

I think they mean for you to go inside. God is Great. God is Good, God ain't Glib...

P.S. It's your job to call "Bull s*it" on these people... The ingnorant need role models like us, so they don't give away their hard earned money to a group of folks that falsely represent a true God that doesn't need any money.

That's just rude and annoying.

Didn't their English teacher ever tell them that double negatives are a don't?

oops, did I just do that too?

I love those church signs. We have some entertaining ones over in my neck of the woods.

How odd! It does make you think at least!

Thank you SO much for saying that at my blog. I just love your humor and stop here daily to get a dose of it. I'm so glad I met you through our little blog world!

I think it's just me. But I like it. It's rather profound. I will have to suggest it to my church. Where they really like to use "interesting" messages. Like this one:

"Staying in bed on Sunday morning and screaming OH GOD is not the same thing as coming to church."

I think that is a double-negative. Or not not. :-)

You can thank my symbolic logic training for this clever answer.
